NEW ORLEANS -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze Uptown Monday afternoon.

Around 1:30 p.m., New Orleans firefighters were called to a home in the 5200 block of Camp Street. When crews arrived on the scene, the back of a two-story home was on fire.

Worried that the fire could spread to the attic, a second-alarm was called, according to the New Orleans Fire Department.

A woman who was living in the house said  "she heard and felt what seemed like an explosion coming from one of the two sheds attached to the rear of the dwelling.  The resident stated she then exited the home and called 911 immediately," said a statement from the fire department.

The blaze was brought under control just before  2:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
