NEW ORLEANS – Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old man found shot to death in a burning car Monday.
21-year-old Alphonse Gilmore and 24-year-old Averill Johnson were arrested and booked with first-degree murder for the killing of 21-year-old Casimere Quillens.
The incident happened Monday around 2 p.m. in the 1600 block of Pleasure Street.
Police arrived on the scene and found a vehicle on fire.
After the fire was extinguished, they found Quillens in the car with gunshot wounds to his body.
