NEW ORLEANS - Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed two people at gunpoint during the early morning hours of January 21, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Around 2:30 a.m., a man and woman were walking home together on N. Rampart Street when they saw the gunman approach them, police said.

He pointed a silver pistol towards them and demanded their money.

After taking the money, the gunman fled on foot river bound on Spain Street and then to an unknown location, police said.

The suspect is described as black and 6'2" in height. He has a skinny build and appears to be in his middle to late thirties in age.
