NEW ORLEANS — A 25-year-old was arrested after stabbing a woman multiple times, New Orleans Police said.

Annissa Daggs was arrested at where the stabbing occurred and charged with attempt first degree murder and aggravated assault.

According to the Officer Hilal B. Williams, Daggs armed herself with a knife following an altercation in the 6700 block of Tara Lane Friday morning. The 22-year-old woman fighting with Daggs escaped after a chase.

Daggs then returned to where the fight broke out only to begin stabbing a 24-year-old woman multiple times, Williams said.

The 24-year-old woman, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, was taken to the hospital, where she’s listed in stable condition.
