Some scattered rain will be possible in Baton Rouge on Friday.
Once daytime heating takes off Friday afternoon, a few showers or storms could pop up in the Baton Rouge area.
Here’s the good news for baseball fans: the heaviest rain should stay east of Alex Box Stadium.
Any afternoon rain should be rather short-lived, so baseball games will hopefully be able to finish, even if a spotty shower or storm interrupts play for a little while. Rain chances will stay around 40% through Friday evening.
As for Lafayette, a few pop-up showers or storms can’t be ruled out, but models are going a little lighter on the rainfall through Friday evening. Rain chances will be near 30%.
The upper level low that has dominated Louisiana weather for the past few days will slowly sink southward and fizzle out over the weekend.
Before it does, it’ll continue dragging scattered showers and thunderstorms through the area.
Rain chances in Baton Rouge and Lafayette will stay around 50-60% on Saturday.
Sunday rain chances will be 30-40%.
