NEW ORLEANS – A transgender woman has surrendered to police in connection with a deadly black market silicone injection case.

Armani Davenport, 33, faces a negligent homicide charge.

On New Year’s Day, Breneisha Hall was put in a coma for nearly two months after receiving an illegal silicone injection. She later died.

Davenport, also known as Larry Bernard, is accused of giving the injections to Hall.

Davenport surrendered to police at NOPD headquarters at about 3:30 p.m. Monday. She’s being held in central lockup.
