TERRYTOWN, La. -- Jefferson Parish deputies are looking for several suspects wanted for stealing a money from a store in the 900 block of Behrman High, according to Col. John Fortunato, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.
On Wednesday, the store owner told a deputy working a detail that money had been taken, possibly by a group of individuals around 1 p.m., Fortunato said.
Fortunato said a group of people went into the store and distracted the owner by asking questions, and that during that time, one of the group made off with the money.
Looking at the store's surveillance, Detective Darrin Parent determined six individuals -- 5 women and 1 man -- had worked together to commit the crime, according to the sheriff's office. Authorities have released several still images from the video.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Darrin Parent at 504-364-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
