SLIDELL, La. – Police announce the arrest of four people in connection with a rash of daytime home burglaries, according to Slidell Police spokesman Det. Daniel Seuzeneau.
Slidell Police and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office worked a joint investigation in response to over twenty burglaries from December 2012 to March 2013 in the Tanglewood, County Club and Slidell Manor neighborhoods, according to Slidell Police.
Police arrested Gregory Williams, 30, and Damien Barnhart, 33. Burkhart was arrested in Florida in Pinellas County is awaiting extradition back to Louisiana, according to police, and Williams’ girlfriend, Elisa Carney, 25, and Lisa Torres, 53, were also arrested in connection with the burglaries.
“While serving the arrest warrant, detectives located stolen property which linked Williams and Barnhart to other burglaries in the area; as well as burglaries in Plaquemines Parish,” said Seuzeneau.
“The investigation is still ongoing, but detectives feel that Barnhart, Williams, and Torres were the people responsible for the rash of day-time residential burglaries.”
