NEW ORLEANS -- A man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot said the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of St. Ferdinand Street and St. Claude Avenue.
Flot didn't name a suspect or a motive in this shooting.
The shooting was the second in an hour for New Orleans police. They also investigated a shooting in Bayou St. John on Orleans Avenue.
