NEW ORLEANS – A teenager and a woman were killed and another man was injured in a shooting incident on Sunday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The incident occurred in the 2400 block of St. Andrew Street shortly before 8 p.m.

Officers located Lawrence Burt, 18, lying partially in a white Chrysler 300. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

A 56-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were located near the car and were also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the NOPD. They were transported to the hospital, where Vivian Snyder later died and the man was listed in critical condition.

Investigators believe the shooters were traveling in a gray Kia SUV and gold Chevrolet Malibu.

Officers are in the process of gathering evidence to identify the suspects and a motive.
