HAMMOND, La. – Deputies arrested a 61-year-old man for stabbing his brother to death, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.
In Sunday’s early morning hours, authorities were alerted that the body of Elias Bulnez Azua, 55, was found inside a residence on Greg Drive in Hammond.
Deputies were led to believe that Azua may have known the man who stabbed him numerous times.
On Tuesday, a warrant was issued for Asua Bartolo, who was eventually arrested without incident at an address on Highway 51 in Tickfaw.
Bartolo was charged with the second degree murder of his brother, Azua.
No motive has been determined.
