NEW ORLEANS - A female entertainer who was wanted for negligent injuring in the case of a person illegally injected with silicone has turned herself in to authorities, the NOPD said Wednesday.

Armani Nicole Davenport, 32, whose birth name is Larry Bernard, walked into the DA's office and was booked with one count of negligent injuring.

Police said 'Armani Nicole Davenport' was known to travel between Texas, Louisiana and Georgia.

Davenport performed at transgender pageants throughout the southeast.

The victim was at a friend’s apartment in the 1200 block of S. Salcedo in Zion City, getting silicone injections in her hips and buttocks just after 1 a.m. Oct. 24, said police.

Hours later, her health took a turn for the worse. She was rushed to the University Medical Center in critical condition and remains in a coma.
