NEW ORLEANS - The FBI and NOPD arrested a man and woman on charges that they robbed, kidnapped and murdered a man in Las Vegas and then fled to New Orleans, dumping the victim's body alongside the interstate on their trip here.
Marshan Bowden, 22, and Majunique Brown, 24, were considered fugitives from Las Vegas. They were arrested in New Orleans on Tuesday. The killing is believed to have been committed on Monday.
Brown reportedly has a home address in New Orleans.
According to the FBI, an investigation by Las Vegas police indicated that Brown and Bowden kidnapped and killed a victim identified as Jason Byes in Las Vegas and while transporting his body inside of the stolen vehicle, dumped it along I-40 in Arizona, before continuing to New Orleans.
The suspects' vehicle was located in the 9000 block of Cohn Street being driven by Bowden, who was apprehended by police. The FBI said Brown was found in a nearby residence.
The suspects are wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for a variety of charges including Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Kidnapping with a Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping. Bowden and Brown face extradition to Las Vegas.
