NEW ORLEANS -- Authorities are investigating an Algiers bank robbery on General DeGaulle Drive, according to the FBI.
Shortly after 9 a.m., a man walked into the Capital One in the 3800 block of DeGaulle, Mary Beth Romig, a spokesperson for the FBI, said. He pulled out a black handgun and went to a teller window to demand cash.
The man fled the bank on foot heading in the direction the West Bank Expressway.
Authorities describe the suspect is described as black male with a dark complexion. He was in his mid to late 20s, and approximately 5-feet-9 with a slim build. He was wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber. The public can visit bankrobbers.fbi.gov for further information on suspects wanted for bank robbery.
