NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Fire Department has classified a fire at a non-profit last week as arson.

The fire happened last Thursday at 215 N. Jeff Davis Parkway, at Women With A Vision, which works to educate women on issues like reproductive health, breast cancer awareness and HIV prevention.

Deon Haywood told Eyewitness News reporter Scott Satchfield on Monday that she believed the fire was set intentionally.

"Something was put on the walls to set the fire," she said. "So this was really painful to think that somebody would intentionally come into our office and set these things on fire."

Fire department officials confirmed her suspicions Friday. They say it showed signs of accelerant used and multiple spots that were lit on fire.

Investigators are still working to determine a suspect in this case.

If you know anything that can help investigators, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
