LAFOURCHE PARISH – Five people were arrested Tuesday evening in a drug raid in Golden Meadow, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested Daffney Kiger, 37, Larone Gray, 38, Damoz Folse, 19, Javon Folse, 25, and Billy Coleman, 32.
Agents were working a surveillance on Kiger’s Golden Meadow home and saw a vehicle leave the home. The man leaving was identified as Billy Coleman who was wanted on a warrant for distribution of crack cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.
Coleman tried to flee on foot after being stopped by police, but was caught after a short chase. The passenger, Javon Folse, was wanted for domestic abuse battery involving strangulation, domestic abuse with child endangerment, home invasion and contempt of court. Both were taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention. Coleman was released after posting a $10,150 bond, while Folse is still being held, according to sheriff’s office.
At Kiger’s home, agents arrested her for warrants of distribution of crack cocaine and illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of persons under 17. Larone Gray and Damoz Folse and a juvenile were also at the home, according to the sheriff’s office.
“During a search of the residence, agents discovered a bag containing 8.4 gross grams of suspected heroin, two bags containing a total of 4.2 gross grams of suspected marijuana, a partially smoked cigar containing suspected marijuana, 12 suspected Valium (diazepam) pills, various prescription drugs, and various drug paraphernalia,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Kiger, Gray and Damoz Folse were charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of Valium, and illegal use of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under the age of 17. Kiger was also booked with maintaining a structure for narcotics use. All three are still being held in lieu of bond.
