HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. -- Perry Decedrio Thomas is wanted by authorities for escaping from the Hancock County Jail Sunday evening.  

Authorities believe that he could be in the Slidell area or in New Orleans.

Thomas was arrested Saturday night in Waveland.  Thomas, according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, and another inmate jumped a fence at the jail Sunday. 

The other inmate was captured quickly, hiding nearby, while Thomas was picked up by a woman who was waiting for him. Two other women gave Thomas assistance escaping, one taking him across the state line into Louisiana and another bringing him to her home in Slidell. All three women have been arrested by authorities. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
