JEFFERSON PARISH, La. - Since the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has been cracking down on synthetic drugs, they have been reporting more results.
Over the past year and a half synthetic drugs have gained popularity in the metro area, officials said.
Deputies have been working with law enforcement agencies across the country to serve arrest and search warrants for violations related to that drug trade.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sheriff Newell Normand will announce the names of individuals recently booked during these investigations.
