METAIRIE, La -- Jefferson Parish homicide investigators have issued an arrest warrant for a New Orleans man in connection with a murder Monday, according to Glen Boyd, spokesman for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

Samuel Cooks, 20, is wanted for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Ryan Easly, 22, of Metairie, Boyd said in a statement.

Easly was fatally shot Monday evening in the 1110 block of Upland Avenue.
