JEFFERSON, La. – Deputies are searching for a man who entered a Subway, implied he was armed, demanded money from the register and fled the restaurant on foot with the cash, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The thief entered the restaurant at 1201 Jefferson Highway around 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, deputies said.

He is described as white, 30 to 40 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall and 140 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a white baseball cap with sunglasses on top, a dark-colored zipper style jacket with a logo on the left upper front and possibly a name on the right upper front, a blue pull over t-shirt, knee-length blue jean shorts, dark shoes and white socks.

Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating him and released photographs captured on the video surveillance.

Anyone with information is asked to call the JPSO Robbery Section at 504-364-5376 or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
