METAIRIE, La. — Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Officers are searching for a man who attempted to rob the Shell Gas Station at 900 Clearview Parkway on May 9.

According to the JPSO, a white man entered the gas station at 1:22 p.m. that day, placing a white plastic bag on the counter with a note that stated the clerk should give him the money from the business.

However, the cash register wouldn’t open because a transaction hadn’t taken place, the JPSO said. The man then left the gas station.

The Sheriff’s Office described the man as 20-25 years old with a thin build and medium height. He has letters tattooed on the outside of the fingers on his left hand and possibly on his right hand.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers or the JPSO Robbery Section at 504-364-5376.
