THIBODAUX, La. - A Thibodaux man is accused of kidnapping and raping a young teen, police said Friday.
Andrea Tillman, 26, 1401 Plantation Road, was charged with the May 4 and May 5 rape, sexual battery and kidnapping of a 14-year-old boy in Thibodaux, as well as other drug crimes related to the incident, according to Thibodaux Police.
The boy was missing for several hours late May 4 and returned to his house early May 5 appearing intoxicated and severely beaten, detectives said.
The boy was taken to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, where he told authorities a man kidnapped him from an area near the boy's residence and forced him to take drugs and drink alcohol, then raped him on the east side of Thibodaux, police said.
Detectives declined to detail what happened and wouldn't say where the man took the boy.
Tillman is charged with aggravated rape, oral sexual battery, second-degree kidnapping, illegal use of drugs in the presence of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
An aggravated rape conviction carries a mandatory life sentence.
The boy was taken to Children's Hospital in New Orleans for further treatment, police said.
Detectives said they got video footage from a nearby gas station that matched the boy's description of the man. They identified Tillman as that man, and arrested him Thursday, they said.
Tillman is in the Lafourche Parish jail on bonds totaling $610,000.
