NEW ORLEANS -- A man shot Sunday evening in Algiers has died, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
According to police, around 8 p.m., the man was shot in the hip in the 500 block of Socrates Street.
The victim later died as a result of injuries he received in the shooting.
