NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Algiers on New Year's Eve.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Cypress Acres.
The victim, an unidentified 24-year-old man, was found inside of a white Chevrolet Camaro with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are trying to determine a suspect and a motive.
