NEW ORLEANS - A 17-year-old boy has died in a Wednesday evening Central City shooting, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
NOPD spokesman Officer Frank Robertson said the shooting happened after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Magnolia Street.
Williams said the victim, who won't be identified until his family is notified, was found in a driveway shot multiple times. He has since been pronounced dead.
Police haven't released any information on a possible suspect or motive, but said witnesses observed a black, late-model Acura fleeing the area at a high rate of speed.
