NEW ORLEANS -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Central City, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Around 8 a.m., the male victim, 23-year-old Lester Foster was shot in the 3200 block of Second Street, according to police.
When officers arrived on the scene, Foster was lying on the sidewalk in front of a home. He had been shot in the head. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
