NEW ORLEANS – A Sunday night Seventh Ward shooting left a man dead and a woman in the hospital, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Claiborne Avenue.
The 35-year-old man was found lying in the street after being shot several times, police said. He died on the scene.
The 37-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen and transported to the hospital to go into surgery.
