NEW ORLEANS – A 27-year-old man was shot in the head Sunday afternoon, dying as a result of the wound, New Orleans Police said.
According to police, the man was leaving his Hollygrove apartment around 1 p.m. to run errands when he was shot. Police found the man lying in a stairwell near his apartment in the 8300 block of Palmetto Street.
NOPD is searching for evidence and a motive in the killing.
