NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans branch of the NAACP is urging the shooter or shooters of 1-year-old Londyn Samuels to turn themselves in to police.

The branch is also asking that anyone who might know who the shooters are, or, where they are, call police or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.

The group said that if the shooter or anyone with information is afraid to turn themselves in, the NAACP said it would accompany them during the process.

The NAACP phone number is 821-3221.

"The NAACP sends its prayers and condolences to the family of 13-month-old Londyn Samuels. Our prayers also go out for a speedy and complete recovery for Londyn's 18-year-old babysitter that was also shot."
