NEW ORLEANS - A 16-year-old boy was shot while sitting on his bicycle in the 3200 block of Lasalle Sunday night.
NOPD spokesman Frank Robertson said the victim was shot in the arm and hip area and his injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m.
Robertson said the victim told them he was sitting on his bike when an unknown gunman came up and fired at him. He said he ran to a nearby residence for help.
