NEW ORLEANS -- Police are looking for three suspects in connection with an Algiers carjacking.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, around 9 p.m Monday., a man was driving a Chrysler minivan in the 2900 block of Copernicus Street.  The man pulled over his minivan to allow a Ford F-150 pick-up that was tailgating his van to pass.

The truck pulled in front of the van, blocking the vehicle, said police, and three masked gunmen jumped from the truck and ordered the man from the vehicle, taking the victim's wallet, cell phone and minivan.

On Thursday, the minivan was found badly burned in the 3100 block of Patterson Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
