NEW ORLEANS – Two women are wanted for theft and simple battery after pepper spraying a man who asked about the disappearance of nearly $1,200 in cash from his wallet Saturday, police said.

The suspects left the victim in a vehicle upon arrival at the Chevron Gas Station in the 400 block of North Rampart Street when he noticed money missing from his wallet, detectives said.

Police arrived around 2:30 a.m. when 29-year-old Alicia Marie Ford sprayed the victim and tried to throw him out the vehicle.

Ford and 21-year-old Taneal Brishay Miller left their identification behind when they escaped from police, detectives said.

The victim met Ford and Miller in the French Quarter and left with the two after having several alcoholic drinks, police said.

Anyone with information on the location of the above suspects is urged to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111.
