NEW ORLEANS — The man wanted in connection with a double-murder was arrested Friday by New Orleans Police, ending a nearly three-month search for the man.
Robert Garrett was apprehended by the Violent Offenders Warrant Squad shortly before 9 a.m., authorities said.
According to police, victims Verdell Lewis and Kerry Pierre were discovered inside of a residence in the 6000 block of Lafaye Street. Both were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.
Garrett was developed as a suspect for the deaths; he will be charged with two counts of second degree murder.
