NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating a Sunday carjacking in Central City, blocks away from Lee Circle.

The incident happened at about 9 p.m. near the corner of Clio and Carondelet streets.

Police say the victim had just finished parking his car when two men approached him. One of them asked the victim for a cigarette, and when the victim looked up, one of the suspects punched him to the ground.

The victim dropped his keys in the altercation, and the suspects managed to grab them. They then fled in the victim's vehicle up Clio Street toward St. Charles Avenue.

The victim's vehicle, which you can see a picture of above, is a 2000, four-door white Ford Focus. It has a license plate of LA TUZ459.
