NEW ORLEANS – On Wednesday, a suspect drove up to a Central City corner store and open fired on three men, two of them being teenagers, and killed one, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Shortly before 8 a.m., the suspect arrived in a black vehicle near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Magnolia Street and exited the car, police said.
A 25-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old were standing outside of a nearby store.
All three suffered multiple gunshot wounds as the suspect began shooting at them, police said. One of the three ran inside the store and collapsed.
They were then transported to the hospital, where the 25-year-old died.
Investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify suspects and a motive.
