NEW ORLEANS -- Police have cleared two men wanted for questioning in an aggravated rape in New Orleans East last week.

NOPD spokesman Officer Frank Robertson said the two men were interviewed, and detectives have ruled them out as suspects.

Police had released a composite sketch of one of the men and a still photograph of the other.

The aggravated rape happened June 25 at 3:30 p.m. near Lacombe Street and Morrison Road. According to police, two men put the victim in a car, drove her to another location and raped her.
