NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police worked two separate shootings overnight in addition to a quadruple shooting that left an infant girl wounded.

The first shooting happened near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Dryades Street at about 12 a.m. Sunday.

A 22-year-old woman was shot in the head, and police originally said she was in the hospital in in critical condition but she later died from her injuries.

The second shooting happened before 4 a.m. in Algiers in the 1200 block of Belleville Street.

An unidentified man was shot at that location. His condition is unknown.

Police haven't named a suspect or listed a motive in either shooting.
