NEW ORLEANS -  Police are investigating two fatal shootings that left a 37-year-old man dead in Central City and a 20 -year-old man dead in the Florida area. 
At approximately 12:21 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Fourth and South Galvez streets.  On the scene, officers found a 37-year-old man lying in the grass, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to a statement from the New Orleans Police Department.
About one minute later, police received a call of a man shot in the 5100 block of Congress Street.  A 20-year-old man lying on his front lawn suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when police arrived at the scene.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
