CHALMETTE, La. -- A New Orleans rapper signed to Lil Wayne's record label is behind bars after allegedly shooting at a man and robbing him.
Widner DeGruy, 21, is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of armed robbery, according to St. Bernard Parish Sheriff James Pohlmann.
Pohlmann said DeGruy on April 29 shot at "but narrowly missed" a man he knew. He also robbed the victim and another man, stealing their cash and cell phones.
DeGruy was apprehended in California. He has since been extradited back to Chalmette and is being held in St. Bernard Parish Prison on a $350,000 bond.
DeGruy is signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment record label, Pohlmann said. He goes by the stage name "Flow."
