NEW ORLEANS -- Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who may have information about a murder in Gentilly, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Police released a photo of the person of interest.
A 21-year-old man died at a hospital after being shot Monday morning while driving a maroon Mercury Sable, according to police.
The victim was hit by possibly two men who opened fire on him, and, after traveling three blocks, the victim crashed the car he was driving through the fence of a Dreux Avenue daycare in the 2500 block, police said.
"Police are also requesting the assistance in locating a vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the shooting," said a statement from the NOPD.
