NEW ORLEANS -- A 19-year-old man has been identified as a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Lanisha Scott in Central City in April, according to police.

Benjamin Locure, who is known to frequent the River Gardens area in the Sixth District, was identified as a person of interest and wanted for questioning. 

Scott, 21, was shot on April 12 around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Dryades Street, police said.
