NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are asking for your help identifying a person of interest in a murder in Central City.
It happened in the 2900 block of Louisiana Avenue just before 2 a.m. on New Year's Eve. When officers arrived on the scene they found Lester Adams dead. He had been shot several times.
Police are now looking for a black man last seen wearing white pants and a light colored polo shirt.
Witnesses say he's the person who shot and killed Adams.
But again, police say at this point, he's a person of interest.
