NEW ORLEANS -- Police have released video of a person interest in the murder of a cab driver last week in New Orleans East.
Ali Husnain was shot and killed his cab on July 9 in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex in the 6000 block of Downman Road.
"The person (of interest) is seen at 8 minutes and 26 seconds into the video and is seen walking out of the video at 9 minutes and 19 seconds. The person of interest appears to be wearing a white cloth over the head and is also wearing a backpack," said a statement from the NOPD.
The person is not a suspect in the case, according to police, though detectives are looking to speak with individual regarding the murder.
"Police are asking any business in the area of Baronne and Poydras to search any surveillance video they may have between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. for the person shown in the video," said a statement from the NOPD.
