NEW ORLEANS -- Police have identified a person interest in the murder of Arabian Gayles, an 11-year-old girl who was killed during a triple shooting on Sept. 2 in the Carrollton area, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Less than two hours after Jordan Montrell, 20, was identified as a person of interest by Homicide detectives, State Police was able to locate him.
Montrell is meeting with detectives investigating Gayles murder, according to the NOPD.
Gayles and her 11-year-old cousin were sleeping in the living room of the home when two bullets blasted through the front door. Arabiana was on the couch, and Paulreiona was on a mattress on the floor.
A bullet hit Arabian in the head. She died at the hospital.
