NEW ORLEANS - An 18-year-old man was booked after police said he robbed three men renovating Uptown homes at gunpoint over the past week.

According to police, Jwan Brown entered a home in the 4200 block of South Derbigny Street Thursday morning around 11:30 a.m. and held up the men at gunpoint before making off with their wallets and cell phones.

Police said the victims called for help and a perimeter was set up. K-9 dogs found Brown hiding under another home in the 3300 block of Louisiana Avenue.

In the course of questioning Brown, police said he admitted to a similar robbery of a man on October 13 in a home in the 3700 block of South  Roman.

Brown was booked with three counts of armed robbery. Police said he was on parole for a simple robbery at the time of the crime.
