NEW ORLEANS - Police in Algiers are looking for a woman they believe is responsible for a series of burglaries, mostly of sheds, where lawn equipment has been stolen.

The NOPD said there has been an increase in burglaries in the Point in recent weeks.

Police said they think that a woman identified as 38-year-old Shawn Ross, who also goes by the alias of Kyionta Casimere, could be the perpetrator.

Police said she could be working with 41-year-old Daniel Stewart.

Ross is described as a black female with a gold-capped tooth in the front of her mouth and who stands about 5'3" and weighs about 125 pounds with a medium build and brown hair. She has the letter "D" on her left ankle and a "K" on her right hand.

Police said Ross currently has an attachment against her for probation violation.
