NEW ORLEANS - Two 19-year-olds have been arrested in connection with what police believe is an attempt to distribute Ecstasy and other drugs from a Broadway Street Tulane fraternity house.
According to Louisiana State Police spokesperson Melissa Matey, the state police, along with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Postal Service, were made aware of a package that contained 107 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy) destined for 642 Broadway, the fraternity house of Kappa Sigma.
Matey said troopers delivered the package and arrested Jules Staib, 19, of Baton Rouge; and Wyatt Silverman, 19, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on charges of possession with intent to distribute MDMA.
Both men were booked into the Orleans Parish Prison.
Matey said a subsequent search of the residence uncovered 57 dosages of LSD, 69 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 48 grams of Opium, 22 grams of marijuana, .80 grams of Cocaine and .91 grams of DMT.
As a result, Staib and Silverman were also booked with possession of illegal narcotics schedule I and schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
