NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating a report of a sexual assault at St. Augustine High School.
“We are investigating the report of an assault at that location,” said police spokesman Garry Flot. “(It is) involving juveniles as both potential victims and possible suspects.”
Flot said the sex crimes unit was investigating.
An attorney for St. Augustine, Marc Venzina, declined to comment in detail because the incident involves minors and privacy rules for students.
The NOPD did contact the school about the incident, according to Vezina, and he said that the school is cooperating with police.
