NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have released images of a vehicle believed to have been used in a kidnapping Monday morning, and they're asking the public's help in identifying the car.

The kidnapping happened Monday at 7:10 a.m. in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue.

The victim had just been dropped off by her aunt at a bus stop when a man stopped his vehicle in front of her and asked if she needed a ride.

After she declined, the man pointed a blue steel revolver at her and demanded that she get inside. She did so, and during the ride the man exposed himself and made "statements of a sexual manner," according to the NOPD.

The victim was able to jump out of the moving vehicle near the I-10 service road by the Willows Apartment Complex. She then fled on foot and used a bystander's phone to call police.

The kidnapper is described as an approximately 40-year-old black man with black pants, black sweater and a disfigured right hand.

The vehicle is green in color with dark tinted windows. Police said it may be a Lexus SE300. You can see a picture of it above.

If you can identify the driver or the vehicle, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
