NEW ORLEANS – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who robbed victims standing at a Mid-City intersection Monday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Canal Street and South Lopez Street.

The suspect approached the victims with his right hand in his pants and demanded the victims’ property, police said.

The victims complied and the perpetrator pointed in the northern direction and said “Go quickly.” The victims did as he said, according to the NOPD.

The suspect ran west on South Lopez Street to an awaiting light colored vehicle (possible a silver sedan.)

The suspect is described as black, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” in height, approximately 165 pounds in weight and in his late 20s. He has a slim build, dark complexion and acne scarring on his jaw and cheeks. He was wearing a black fitted hat, black t-shirt and light colored boxer shorts that were covered by dark jeans.
